Geography Book
The climate of the United States varies a lot
due to the position of its stathe when it comes to latitude as well as to the
range of geografic features the county has. Generally speaking, the
western and southern parts of USA have warmer weather if compared to estern and
northern areas. The estern /
northern regions experience harsh winters with heavy snowfall but the summers
are pleasant; on the other hand, the western / southern parts have extermely
hot summers and, compared to the eastern / northern regions, tolerable winters.
Some weater conditions such as cyclones and
fronts are more common in the colder months than in the warmer months in the
United States. Extreme weather is not uncommon - tornadoes occur in the
amrea of the Midwest known as Tornado Alley with some regularity, whereas heavy
snowstorms can hit northern areas and tropical cyclones can strike the south.
It is a fact that the United States has more tornadoes than the rest of the
countries of the world combined. So, as you can see, the climate in the USA is
not ordinary at all!
